Who needs to stand in front of a hot stove early in the morning on Father’s day making french toast one at a time? Try this easy, fast, healthy, and delicious baked french toast, you can do overnight with less mess, fat, and dishes. Woohoo!
Remember to use organic ingredients as much as possible and use pure maple syrup. Enjoy this hot, baked and golden crispy french toast without the guilt and make everybody happy including yourself.
    • 1 loaf of whole wheat, challah, brioche or Italian bread
    • 2 large organic free range eggs
    • 1 2/3 cups organic whole milk or almond milk
    • 2 tablespoon organic extra virgin olive oil (for greasing the baking dish)
    • Blueberries and/or strawberries (organic)
    • ¼ sea or kosher salt
    • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
    • Pure maple syrup
    • Powder sugar (optional)
    1. Cut bread into 1 inch thick slices. (Make sure it’s not too thin).
    2. Generously oil the baking dish and then place the bread slices.
    3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt and cinnamon until combined.
    4. Pour the mixture over the bread. Cover with an aluminum foil for at least an hour or overnight.
    5. Remove the foil and bring the dish to room temperature (about 15 to 20 minutes).
    6. Preheat oven to 425°F.
    7. Bake in middle of oven until bread is golden brown. About 20 to 25 minutes.
      Top it with berries and sprinkle powder sugar, if desired.
      Serve immediately with maple syrup. Enjoy!
