Ah…the Holidays
It’s full of cheer, Xmas songs, beautiful decorations, family, Rudolph, friends, parties, and amazing food.
It’s also full of bickering, fighting over parking spaces, weight gain, crowded traveling, endless cooking, cleaning, bad gift ideas, big holes in our wallets, and uninvited guests and relatives. Bah Humbug!
Instead of drowning yourself in spiked eggnog, pulling your hair out, screaming and crying, try these holiday survival methods to reduce stress, so you can actually have fun and embrace the Xmas spirit without going mad.
Read on for your sanity…

Dr. Clara’s December Prescription
Go for Your Annual Physical.
It’s time. This is preventive medicine for you and your whole family, and one of the smartest things you can do. It can save you a lot of pain, heartache, expenses, and your life. So worth it!
One of the best cures for holiday stress. Take time to volunteer to help others; be it people, animals, or the ocean. It helps you get out of your head and get the much needed humble perspective.
We move less when it’s cold, dark, raining or snowing. Try exercising at home/indoors with your favorite boogie music and dance and shake for 15-20 minutes, and keep your body and mind in top shape. You can do this with your coworkers at the office and/or with your family. It’s invigorating and fun.
Don’t Forget Your Gift.
Buy yourself a small gift for a job well done and surviving the holidays. Also, take the time to relax, breathe, and pat yourself on the back. You’ve earned it!
Have Fun!
Don’t forget to have fun between your holiday madness. That what it’s about. Don’t miss out. Party, dance, sing, laugh, and embrace.
Always Laugh & Boogie.
Do One Good Deed.
Stop Beating Yourself Up!
Be Kind to Yourself & Others.
Don’t forget to laugh 5 minutes a day. It will do wonders.

You survived another year beautifully. It could’ve been so much worse, but you did the best you can with what you know and have, kept your head above the water, and stayed cool. Don’t underestimate that. Not everyone can do it.
Think about all you’ve accomplished this year, family and people you’ve fed and took care of everyday. Not easy. Pat yourself on the back and give yourself a mental applause.
We’ll keep learning, sharing, growing and discovering next year. We’ll shine even brighter, together. So, have a glass of champagne and toast to your loved ones and yourself. Now, go and sing Ole Lang Syne, that no one knows what the heck it means. Cheers!
Happy Holidays & Happy New Year Everyone!
