This ice cream is healthy, fast, affordable, easy, and magical for both kids and grown-ups.
You can top it with your favorite toppings such as nuts, dark chocolate chunks, banana slices or banana chips, coconut flakes, sprinkles, chocolate sauce or chips, and fruits, such as kiwis, berries, mango, etc. Anything goes and the possibilities are endless. Go bananas!
4 large ripe organic bananas (It won’t work with under ripe bananas)
Peel the bananas and slice them and place them on a large plate or parchment lined rimmed baking sheet. Freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Puree the bananas in a food processor, scraping the sides as needed until it becomes a creamy texture (6-8 minutes). You can eat this as is or put it in an airtight container for at least 2 hours. Then scoop and serve with toppings of your choice. The ice cream will last up to 3 months in the freezer.
