Peanut Butter & Chocolate Treats
Makes: 8 mini sandwiches
This is an easy, fast, healthy and delicious little treats. Make it with your family, kids, friends, grown-ups, and watch them devour and become happy instantly. To keep it healthy, use whole grain bread, use dark chocolate with 70% or higher cocoa content, and organic products as much as possible.
½ cup organic semisweet chocolate morsels or dark chocolate with 70% cocoa
8 slices thin bread of your choice; preferably organic whole grain bread
6 tbsp. organic unsalted peanut butter
2 tbsp. organic olive oil or coconut oil
1 tbsp. honey or organic coconut sugar (optional)
  1. Preheat oven to 375º. Melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a double boiler over hot water.
  2. Spread 4 slices of bread evenly with peanut butter and the remaining 4 slices evenly with melted chocolate. Sandwich the slices together. Oil the outside of the bread with olive or coconut oil and sprinkle both sides with sugar, if using.
  3. Arrange the sandwiches on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes, turning the sandwiches after 5 minutes so they brown on both sides.
  4. Let cool for 5 minutes. Cut each sandwich into 4 small triangles or squares. Serve warm and be happy!
